Frame analysis of the discrete Gabor-scheme

چکیده
The properties of the discrete Gabor scheme are considered in the context of oversampling. The approach is based on the concept of frames and utilizes the piecewise finite Zak transform (PFZT). The frame operator is represented as a matrix-valued function in the PFZT domain, and its properties are examined in relation to this function. The frame hounds are calculated by means of the eigenvalues of the matrix-valued function, and the dual frame, which is used in calculation of the expansion coefkients, is expressed by means of the inverse matrix. DFT-based algorithms for computation of the expansion coeflkients, and for the reconstruction of signals from these coefficients, are generalid for the case of oversamplii of the Gabor space. The atgorithms are implemented in an example of representation of a nonstationary signal.

Image processing by alternate dual Gabor frames
We present an application of the dual Gabor frames to image processing. Our algorithm is based on finding some dual Gabor frame generators which reconstructs accurately the elements of the underlying Hilbert space. The advantages of these duals constructed by a polynomial of Gabor frame generators are compared with their canonical dual.

The discrete (finite) Gabor scheme is generalized by incorporating multiwindows. Two approaches are presented for the analysis of the multiwindow scheme: the signal domain approach and the Zak transform domain approach. Issues related to undersampling, critical sampling, and oversampling are considered. The analysis is based on the concept of frames and on generalized (Moore-Penrose) inverses. ...
متن کاملEnhanced and Efficient Isar Image Focusing Using the Discrete Gabor Representation in an Oversampling Scheme
Inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging is one of the most well-known techniques of radar target recognition. One of the most important issues in ISAR imaging is the improvement of the image smeared by a moving target. In this paper, we propose the discrete Gabor representation (DGR) in an oversampling scheme as an effective means of obtaining a well-focused ISAR image with a short calc...

A class of non-canonical duals for the multiwindow Gabor scheme, incorporating both rational and integer oversampling of the Gaborian combined time-frequency space, is considered. Using properties of Gabor frame matrices, block Discrete Fourier transforms, and results from number theory, we establish existence conditions for the noncanonical duals for both integer and rational oversampling rate...
متن کاملMultiwindow Gabor-type Representations and Signal Representation by Partial Information
Harmonic analysis has been the longest lasting and most powerful tool for dealing with signals and systems which involve both periodic and transient phenomena. Further impact on signal processing was facilitated by what we refer to as representations in combined spaces. These representations, motivated by Gabor’s concept of time-frequency information, cells have evolved in recent years into a r...
